From Figure 6 , it can be observed how for the UD and BP laminates (fibers almost aligned with the applied load), the damage has an increasing trend up to approximately 15% of the fatigue life, with modest damage values, always less than about 5%, followed by a significant plateau of constant damage; the best performance is exhibited by the BP laminates, with constant damage up to about 85% of the fatigue life (the damage increases instead from about 65% of the fatigue life for UD laminates).
