This association between recurrent ADLs and less lymphedema improvement might also explain an otherwise puzzling study result in Table 5 , where at 12 and 24 months, there were marginally significant ( P = 0.0514 and P = 0.0582, respectively) differences between the placebo and treatment groups in limb stage change, but counterintuitively, the placebo participants experienced more improvement than the treatment group.
