As the altitude increases, both light intensity and maximum temperature show a decreasing trend ( Xu et al., 2020 ), and sun-loving plants will have a decrease in leaf litter content when the altitude increases, however, Beilschmiedia brevipaniculata shows a decreasing and then an increasing trend, and the leaf litter content of the shade-loving plants likewise appears to be decreasing and decreasing and then increasing, which suggests that light and temperature are not decisive factors for their distribution.
