5 Conclusion While both acerola-mediated AgNPs and CuONPs gels demonstrate antimicrobial activity against periodontal diseases, acerola-mediated AgNPs gel emerges as highly significant, especially in addressing chronic periodontitis with diabetes, where its consistent and potent effects at lower concentrations hold immense promise.
