However, before exclusion, suicide accounted for 0.30% of all deaths (2,022 suicides/678,323 deaths), which was almost equal to 0.32% of deaths analyzed in this study (1,210 suicides/376,281 deaths), suggesting that the impact of the excluded patients on the results may not be significant.
