The same pattern is seen when comparing individual females on Days 1 and 2 (Paired t ‐test: t 451 = −3.40, p = 0.0007), and there was only a rather weak—if highly significant, thanks to the sample size—positive correlation between the copulation durations on each day for each female (Pearson's Correlation test: r = 0.2, t 450 = 4.37, p < 0.0001).
