Risk factors at initial diagnosis were compared with patients that relapsed or became refractory; Age at relapse ( p = 0.009), response to treatment on interim assessment ( p < 0.001), radiation received ( p < 0.001) and status at end of treatment ( p < 0.001) all showed highly significant values on comparison between relapse and refractory HL ( Table 1 ).
