5 DISCUSSION In the past decade, remarkable progress has been made in combating the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) with a decreasing trend of HIV along with a 35% reduction in AIDS‐related deaths during this period. 11 HIV infection is associated with various cardiovascular complications, including HIV‐associated cardiomyopathy (HIVAC), which significantly contributes to morbidity and mortality in affected individuals.
