Our results matched with those of the study by Abdel-Ghaffar et al., who reported that compared to the placebo group, the intranasal ketamine and fentanyl groups had significantly lower visual analog scale (VAS) scores in the first four hours, with an overall trend toward lower values at all time periods [ 14 ].
