For example, in a study conducted in Zanjan in 2018, 70% of students had a negative attitude towards the nursing profession.[ 10 ] Another study conducted in Semnan city in 2012 showed that 30% of students had a negative attitude towards nursing; also, 38.6% of their fathers and 45.6% of their mothers also had a negative attitude towards nursing.[ 11 ] A review of the literature shows that the negative attitude rate has had an increasing trend in Iran from the 70s to the 90s, so that the rate of negative attitude in 1993 increased from 30% to more than 80% in 2014.[ 11 , 12 , 13 ] As was mentioned, the attitude of people is always changing during their life span and in sync with their surrounding, and the academic and studying period has a significant impact on the people’s attitude changes.
