In terms of participants’ beliefs about the importance of the country of origin of medications, we observed highly significant difference between the indices like ‘Effectiveness of the drug may vary depending on the country of manufacture or the identity of the manufacturer (P<0.001), ‘Locally produced generic medications are of high quality and can compete with western countries’ (P<0.001) and ‘the quality and effectiveness of locally produced generic medications is superior to that of the manufactured in other countries’ (P<0.1).
