There was a significant or marginally significant inversion effect for the natural scrambled BM stimuli (Fig. 1c : Z = 1.93, p = 0.054, BF 10 = 2.85; Fig. 1d : Z = 1.97, p = 0.049, BF 10 = 2.60) but not for the unnatural scrambled BM stimuli (Fig. 1d : Z = 1.07, p = 0.287, BF 10 = 0.27).
