Research reporting associations between ARFID and OCD has been sparse, with one study to date establishing a slight trend-level correlation between OCD symptoms and an ARFID diagnosis. 25 Overlapping symptomatology between both disorders may be driven by expression of similar underlying vulnerabilities to rigidity or averseness to change.
