29 scRNA-seq analysis of datasets ( GSE158723 and GSE112271 ) shown a decreasing trend of hepatocytes in HCC, and flow cytometry analysis of clinical HCC samples showed that adjacent tissues also secrete a small amount of AFP because of the complexity and heterogeneity of cancers, and adjacent tissues may possess certain tumor characteristics and phenotypes during tumor progression.
