Results: Duffy null was strongly associated with higher hs-CRP (meta-analysis p = 2.62 × 10 −9 ), but the association was largely attenuated, though still marginally significant ( p = 0.005), after conditioning on known CRP locus alleles in linkage disequilibrium with the Duffy gene.
