An increasing trend in antibacterial resistance is also reported from Ethiopia, in which Escherichia coli, Shigella species, Salmonella species , and Staphylococcus aureus were found to be resistant to commonly prescribed antibiotics, including ampicillin, amoxicillin, penicillin, tetracycline, and trimethoprim/sulfamethoxazole [ 4 ].
