In comparison with the non-anemic women group ( Table 2 ), the Chi-square test indicated statistically highly significant differences in the primary sources of iron in the diet, the frequency of consuming caffeine-containing drinks (tea, coffee) with meals, the utilization of specific cooking techniques that might affect the iron content of food, and a significant difference in the daily diet.
