highly significantp = 0.0001
The multivariable regression analysis revealed a highly significant, positive linear association between log(NfL) and age ( p = 0.0001), indicating that NfL increased by 1.4% (95% CI 1.0%–2.1%) with each additional year of age, whereas it showed a weak, inverse association with storage time ( p = 0.02), suggesting a 0.3% (95% CI 0.1%–0.5%) decrease with each additional year of storage; additionally, NfL was 17.0% (95% CI 0.0%–37.9%) higher in male than in female patients, although the association between NfL and sex was not statistically significant ( p = 0.054).
