A total of 7 national sample surveys on hypertension were conducted in China from 1959 to 2018, showing that the prevalence rate of hypertension increased from 5.1% in 1959 to 27.5% in 2018 [ 11 ], and the prevalence rate of hypertension showed an increasing trend.
