Statistical analysis of correlation between soil physical and chemical properties As shown in ( Table 2 ), there was a highly significant negative correlation ( P < 0.01) between soil bulk density and soil moisture content, capillary water holding capacity, maximum water holding capacity, minimum water holding capacity, and there was a significant negative correlation ( P < 0.05) with capillary porosity and total porosity, which indicated that the higher the soil density and the tighter the structure were, the lower the porosity was, and the moisture content of soil was reduced accordingly.
