After these tests, the changes in bacterial densities between the beginning of the study and after 6 weeks were separately calculated for each participant by taking the logarithm according to base 2, in case the high variation in the microbiota composition of the participants, the small number of participants, and the presence of a high number of bacteria at the genus level may overshadow the determination of species that may be significant with BH correction.
