Metformin treatment did not significantly change the abundance of any of the myeloid cell subsets relative to controls, but there was an overall trend of increased numbers of IMs, patrolling monocytes, classical monocytes, and dendritic cells in lungs from Mav-infected and metformin-treated mice compared to mock-treated controls ( Figure 2D ).
