However, over the years, a decreasing trend in the occurrence of RB-EOE has been observed in many countries. 3 The occurrence of advanced RB at presentation may be related to a lack of awareness about RB, resulting in delayed diagnosis and delayed access to appropriate care. 11 In this study, the lag time between the onset of symptoms and presentation to the RB treatment center, as well as the mean age at presentation to the RB treatment center, was much higher for RB-EOE compared with RB-w/o-EOE.
