The study does not provide strong support for the privacy paradox, indicating that this phenomenon may vary by individual [ 35 ], be context-dependent or research-method dependent [ 31 ] or subject to change over time [ 35 ] as consumers adapt to new technologies and leverage them [ 16 ], or where concerns about privacy may not be significant in contexts where gratification is readily obtained [ 68 ].
