The end products of glycolysis, pyruvate and lactate, as well as some metabolites related to the TCA cycle, showed a decreasing trend as oxidative stress levels increased, which is consistent with the relating literature. 47,48 Correspondingly, the intermediate metabolites exhibited an upward trend, 49 suggesting that the increase in oxidative stress may have a significant and irreversible impact on the activity of downstream metabolic enzymes.
