Our study observed a possible trend towards a stronger association between low maternal insulin sensitivity and higher offspring birthweight for women who reported higher amounts of time spent sedentary in the second trimester, suggesting that minimizing maternal sedentary behaviour could attenuate the association of reduced maternal insulin sensitivity with higher offspring birthweight.
