Results Our comparisons of the surface area measurements for the whole endocast, telencephalon and cerebellum against their brain volume counterparts yielded highly significant associations ( figure 2 ; table 1 ), which are unlikely to be influenced by the voxel size (see electronic supplementary material, figure S2).
