With the addition of GAD to the electrolyte, R 2 of both catalysts showed a decreasing trend (decline of diameter of the semicircle) in Nyquist plots (Supplementary Fig. 19a and 19c ), and the phase degree of the medium-frequency regions declined at the same applied potential (Fig. 3d , e ) in Bode plots.
