Thus, it can be concluded that to maximize the yield, required length of growing season for soybean cultivar should at a given site align with the length of the frost-free period, which falls in Poland within the range of ~ 155 to ~ 195 days with an increasing trend of 3–6 days per decade (Koźmiński et al. 2023 ).
