Relative abundance data does suggest some additive effect of genotype and treatment, however, with treatment-selected genera being significantly more abundant on the phyB mutant in simulated shade than in other samples ( p = 0.05 based on a t-test) and genotype-selected also becoming much more abundant on the phyB mutant in simulated shade than in other samples; though, this latter difference was not quite significant ( p = 0.07 based on a t-test).
