In the present study, we found a decreasing trend of Lactobacillus abundance in the jejunal contents with increasing age (30 days, 74.04%; 60 days, 50.80%; 120 days, 34.03%), which is significantly associated with lower body weight and decreased breast and leg muscle weight in low body weight chickens.
