Previous studies from the USA and Australia have shown an increasing trend of muscle-strengthening activity over time. 30 , 32 In addition, the COVID-19 pandemic may have had a substantial impact on individuals’ behaviours, including muscle-strengthening activities. 33 34 Further research is therefore warranted on the prevalence of muscle-strengthening activities after a pandemic.
