As seen in Table 2 , upon metal incorporation, the surface areas, pore volumes and pore diameters in general showed a decreasing trend compared to the purely siliceous SBA-15 catalyst except for the BJH desorption pore diameters which in general had an increasing trend with increasing metal content due to the fact that some of the PdO was incorporated into the silica walls [ 26 , 27 ] enlarging the SBA-15 infrastructure.
