Notably, this study revealed that although MFCs might appear macroscopically similar and may obtain an identical macroscopic grading, the histological difference between such changes may be significant, ranging from the presence of occasional pigmented cells dispersed between seemingly unaffected myocytes to severe granulomatous inflammatory changes with abundant presence of melanised cells.
