Current research shows that among people over 40 years old, the incidence rate of patients with bronchiectasis is about 1.2%, and the incidence rate is on an increasing trend. 32 In addition, postoperative pneumonia is one of the most common complications after lung resection and can cause respiratory failure and even death. 33 , 34 Therefore, it is very important to construct a mature prediction model to reduce the occurrence of postoperative pneumonia in patients with bronchiectasis.
