In another study, 76% anesthesiologists advised removal of mobile teeth, before anesthesia induction, while 24% only warned the patients about the possible complications and advised no treatment.[ 8 ] Wearing intraoral jewelry and piercings of oral and perioral tissues for cosmetic reasons is an increasing trend among adolescents and young adults.[ 14 ] These may interfere with airway management and carry the risk of accidental dislodgement.
