ML-HDL appeared to be a concordant protective factor against cardiometabolic diseases (Cox HR IHD = 0.85 [95% CI: 0.83-0.87]; HR hyperlipemia = 0.88 [95% CI: 0.86-0.90]; HR hypertension = 0.90 [95% CI: 0.89-0.92]; HR T2D = 0.61 [95% CI: 0.59-0.63]), with a borderline significant causal effect observed between ML-HDL and reduced IHD risk (IVW β = −0.08, P = 4.1 × 10 −2 ).
