The ground diameter remained constant at about 19 d, exhibiting “slow-fast-slow” characteristics, and the thickening growth stopped before the lengthening growth. Extremely significant differences were recorded in moisture content among different parts of tender shoots in Stages I, II, and IV ( P < 0.01), whereas significant differences were recorded in Stage III ( P < 0.05) (Table S2).
