In the study, the results of correlation analyses regarding patients' medical characteristics and the presence of delirium, sepsis, and SAD showed that there was a moderate, positive correlation between the presence of delirium and age ( r / p = .518/.001), mean APACHE II score ( r / p = .590/.001), and mean SOFA score ( r / p = .601/.001) and a negative highly significant correlation with the GCS score ( r / p = −.770/.001) (Table 4 ).
