As opposed to other slow-growing pathologies in the suprasellar area that are not prone to hemorrhage (e.g., craniopharyngioma), the effects on patients’ vision can be extremely significant in optic pathway CMs that bleed, given the close involvement with the delicate structure of the optic apparatus.
