The 2020 AHA advanced cardiovascular life support guidelines referenced a study showing a positive trend toward intravenous access, differing from previous studies that found no significant difference in 30‐day survival. 8 , 11 Establishing intravenous access can be challenging during resuscitation, often leading to the use of intraosseous routes. 25 The advantages of intravenous access include lower vascular resistance and a higher rate of resuscitation drug distribution compared with intraosseous access.
