From this analysis, the conductivity of the semiconductor is observed to manifest an increasing trend with a rise in temperature, the cause of which is the migration of p -state electrons from the two atoms at the top of the valence band to the bottom of the conduction band, thereby facilitating the transport within the semiconductor.
