Globally, the increase in DALYs mainly reflects the ongoing rise in prevalence ( Figure 4D ), while in China, DALYs, although peaking in the same age group, showed a decreasing trend compared to 1990 ( Figure 5D ), indicating significant progress in reducing the overall disease burden, particularly through improvements in mortality rates and quality of life.
