Among the DSCNV-GWAS signals described above, a highly significant signal (−log 10 ( P ) = 9.30) identified for PC1 was observed on chr2D in the promoter region of Ppd-D1 ( TraesCS2D02G079600 ), a well-known gene that regulates numerous agronomic traits in wheat, such as heading date, flowering time, PH, tiller number, and grain number ( Guo et al., 2010 ) ( Figure 6 C).
