Over the reference period, modern contraceptive utilization showed an increasing trend, following the exponential smoothing equation, modern contraceptive utilization = 32.5 + 1.3 (coded year) − 0.099 (squared year code), with an R 2 value of 0.99 and a P value of 0.027, indicating that approximately 99% of the variability in modern contraceptive utilization can be explained by the trend (Table 5 ).
