Globally, antibiotic use in livestock is still on the rise despite of the well-known consequences of antimicrobial resistance [ 6 , 23 , 24 ].Whereas we observed a decreasing trend in quantities imported from 2018 to 2020, this is probably due to mobility restrictions and unanticipated disruptions as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic [ 25 ].
