The GTA haplotype (-1082A/-819T/-592A) is associated with protection from dengue (OR = 0.31, 95% CI = 0.14 - 0.67, p = 0.003), while the ACC haplotype was found more frequently in dengue patients, and is associated with a higher risk of dengue with borderline significance (OR = 1.36, 95% CI = 0.99 – 1.89, p = 0.061) No significant difference in IL-10 serum levels between varying haplotypes was found ( Fig 3 ).
