PDT and PTT of FeS 2 The volume and surface electronic structure of FeS 2 are highly significant, especially in studying the reduction of thickness to a single layer through DFT calculations as shown in the spherical model of bulk FeS 2 as well as its monolayer, and bilayer forms ( Fig. 5a ). 84 Fig. 5b illustrates the band structures near the Fermi level and its respective density of states (DOS) for bilayer FeS 2 (1.39 eV), bulk FeS 2 (0.85 eV), and monolayer FeS 2 (100) (0.73 eV).
