Temporal distribution Over the 2013 to 2019 period, both the number of reported school outbreaks and the types of causes increased annually, of which the number of school outbreaks reported in 2019 was the greatest (449 outbreaks); from 2020 to 2021, the number of reported school outbreaks also showed an increasing trend, but both were fewer than those reported in 2019.
