Considering that the number of plant-based meat substitute products available in Australian, US and European supermarkets has increased and is anticipated to grow [ 9 , 12 , 45 , 46 ], and UPFs sales are rising globally [ 47 ], the results from the recent data could show a positive trend between UPFs and PDI, similar to previous research [ 28 ].
